About The Position

Oliver Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Delivery Driver/Shipping Receiving Clerk to join their team. This role is responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to customers across Massachusetts. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of regional routes, DOT regulations, and shipping/warehouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced route driver, delivery driver, or commercial truck driver seeking a consistent early morning schedule with no weekends and daily home time. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License (required)
Minimum age of 21 (per DOT requirements)
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to lift, load, and move materials as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience as a truck driver, delivery driver, or route driver preferred
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
Ability to read maps, follow GPS directions, and navigate regional routes efficiently

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (lights, oil, fuel, tires, etc.) to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance
Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products on scheduled local routes
Plan efficient delivery routes based on urgency, traffic patterns, and cost-effectiveness
Obtain and verify delivery paperwork, including bills of lading and shipping documents
Load and unload trucks as needed; ensure all products are properly secured for transport
Verify product counts and ensure accuracy against shipping documentation
Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage records, and compliance with all DOT regulations
Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs with leasing/service providers
Support daily shipping and warehouse operations when not on the road
