About The Position

Hajoca Corporation is seeking a Delivery Driver Non CDL for their Moore Supply Company trade name at their Arlington, TX location. This role involves operating trucks safely, loading and unloading merchandise, understanding shipping documents, ensuring order accuracy, collecting payments for cash sales, resolving shipping discrepancies, and providing sales leads. The driver will also be responsible for inspecting the truck, reporting mechanical issues, and completing daily inspection reports. Requirements

Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
Be at least 21 years old.
Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver.
Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and at least every two years thereafter.
Know the laws, rules and regulations governing driving motor vehicles, especially commercial motor vehicles subject to Department of Transportation regulations.
Be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers.
Be able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations.
Be able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used in the delivery process.
Read, write, speak and understand English.
Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations to various destinations.
Load Hajoca merchandise onto the truck at the Profit Center, ensuring it is properly secured.
Ensure necessary equipment for safe unloading is available.
Understand shipping documents and have accurate directions for each delivery.
Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy.
Unload correct merchandise from the truck and place it as directed by the receiving party.
Obtain legible signatures for all delivered merchandise per Company policy.
Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries before releasing material.
Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies.
Load merchandise onto the truck from other locations, including vendor pickups, customer returns, and purchases from other wholesalers.
Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses.
Inspect the truck and required parts/accessories for safe operating condition before departure.
Keep the truck clean of debris in the cab and body.
Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck.
Complete the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report for vehicles over 10,001 lbs. GVWR if any defects are found.
Remove keys from the truck at the end of the workday and store them in the approved location.
Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs.
Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management.
