About The Position

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. This position involves driving a box truck under 26,001 pounds or other vehicles to make 10-20 deliveries per day. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 5 AM until all deliveries are completed, with potential for schedule changes and overtime based on business needs. The role requires maintaining accurate records, making on-time deliveries safely in all weather conditions, and performing vehicle inspections. Team members will consistently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds, with specific requirements for handling commercial tires and barrels. Assistance with loading/unloading and operation of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks may be needed. The driver will operate a handheld device, communicate effectively with customers and management, and collect payments upon delivery. Additional job-related tasks may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • 1 year of professional driving experience (cube van, box truck, or semi).
  • Satisfactory completion of a company road test by a qualified assessor.
  • Ability to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts, as required.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record in compliance with company policy.
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (does not test for THC/marijuana).
  • Valid DOT Medical Card per DOT/FMCSA guidelines.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and not require U.S. Venture’s sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a box truck under 26,001 pounds or other vehicles on assigned routes, making 10-20 deliveries per day.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and logs, including driver's logs and fuel purchase logs.
  • Make on-time deliveries to customer locations in a safe and punctual manner, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the assigned vehicle.
  • Lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds consistently, and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
  • Handle commercial tires through team lifts or by using mechanical equipment.
  • Exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds when working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires.
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks.
  • Occasionally operate equipment such as forklift pallet jacks and order pickers.
  • Operate a provided handheld device to ensure all deliveries are fulfilled.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Collect payments from customers upon delivery of product.
