About The Position

Crawford Supply, a trade name of Hajoca Corporation, is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious Delivery Driver Non CDL to join their team at the Mokena, IL location. This role involves operating trucks safely, loading and unloading merchandise, ensuring order accuracy, collecting payments for cash sales, resolving shipping discrepancies, and providing sales leads. The position also includes light warehousing tasks before and after delivery routes. Requirements

Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
Be at least 21 years old.
Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and at least every two years thereafter.
Read, write, speak and understand English.
Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

Know the laws, rules and regulations governing driving motor vehicles in general, and commercial motor vehicles subject to Department of Transportation regulations in particular.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations, delivering to various destinations.
Load Hajoca merchandise onto the truck, secure the load properly, and ensure necessary unloading equipment is available.
Understand shipping documents, ensure order accuracy, and have accurate directions to each delivery destination.
Unload correct merchandise from the truck, place it as directed by the customer, and obtain a signature for all delivered merchandise.
Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries before releasing material.
Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
Load the truck with merchandise picked up at vendor locations, returned by customers, or purchased from other wholesalers.
Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses.
Inspect the truck and its parts/accessories for safe operating condition before departure and keep the truck clean.
Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck and complete the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report if a defect is found for vehicles over 10,001 lbs GVWR.
Remove keys from the truck at the end of the workday and store them in the approved location.
Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs.
Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management.
