About The Position

Atlantic Tire is currently seeking a full-time Non-CDL Delivery Driver in Wilmington, NC! Previous experience preferred. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a drug screen and have an approved motor vehicle and criminal background report. Drive a light vehicle, such as a truck, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up tires. May load and unload vehicle; as well as other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

Must hold a valid driver’s license
Able to successfully pass a drug screen
Have an approved motor vehicle and criminal background report.
High school diploma or equivalency
A minimum of one year commercial driver experience required.

Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
Properly document goods delivered or loaded.
Load and unload trucks
Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
Read maps and follow written or written or verbal geographic directions.
Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
