About The Position

DME Express is experiencing significant growth and is seeking dedicated drivers/technicians to deliver and pick up medical equipment such as Wheelchairs, Hospital Beds, and Oxygen to Hospice Patients. As a medical supply company, DME Express is committed to providing excellent service and equipment to the Hospice field. While the average pay for this position varies with experience, no prior experience is necessary as training will be provided to suitable candidates.

Requirements

• Must have a positive attitude at all times.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Determine or obtain the best daily route, assemble, and deliver all needed equipment, and educate patients and families on proper equipment usage.
• Enforce all DOT and FDA regulations pertaining to Oxygen and DME for the assigned service center.
• Ensure appropriate stock levels and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse and delivery vehicle to the highest standards.
• Ensure all Medical Equipment Technicians adhere to company and accreditation standards.
• Provide patient/client orientation and instructions on the proper use of equipment when applicable.
• Work with patients/clients to resolve various issues, acting as a company field representative.
• Promptly and accurately complete the delivery and pickup process through the app.
• Assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repairs of equipment.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on the assigned vehicle as required.
• Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance.
• Promote teamwork among co-workers, including assisting fellow drivers as needed.
• May be required to work Saturdays/Sundays on a predetermined, rotating schedule.
• Take 'on call' time on a predetermined, rotating basis during the week and weekends.
• Perform warehouse and office maintenance tasks as required.
• Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when working with clients.
• Market the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
