Shaw is looking for a Delivery Driver that will be based in Grand Junction. The Delivery Driver will make deliveries of equipment, materials, tools, wood framing panels, etc. to various construction project site locations throughout the Western Slope. Requirements

  • High School GED level education preferred.
  • Ability to read orders, write instructions and complete forms (in English)
  • 12 months of CDL experience including lumber and equipment transport.
  • Forklift Certification
  • Load securement certification
  • Clean driving record and current operator�s license.
  • Physical strength, hand-eye coordination and endurance.
  • Must be able to concentrate on assigned tasks.
  • The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
  • Ability to read, understand and execute work in compliance with construction documents.
  • Ability to understand State and Federal Road Rules and Regulations, safety requirements, be aware of safety hazards, and to work safely at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of material or equipment as needed to jobsites in a safe, efficient manor.
  • Maintains a current Class A CDL and Class B CDL, Commercial Driver�s License
  • Prepares DOT required log of time on duty and driving.
  • Organizes and secures loads.
  • Assists forklift operators when loading.
  • Confirms orders for accuracy.
  • Unloads/loads materials if necessary.
  • Complete and maintain DVIR, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports in accordance with State, Federal and Company Requirements, including daily pre-inspection (392.7), in-route (392.9) and post-inspections (396.11) and maintains proper log books of each.
  • Competency with and confidence to perform Federal and DOT inspections including Levels I through Level VI.
  • Records all equipment or material that is returned to the yard.
  • Follows guidelines established by the Department of Transportation
  • Must verify Compliance with US Department of Transportation (USDOT) English Proficiency Requirements for Truckers which became effective June 25, 2025.
  • Operates all trucks in a safe and efficient manner, maintains records regarding equipment use and time charged.
  • Assists supervisor, other associates and other work areas, as assigned.
  • Assists in maintaining good housekeeping in the yard.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
