About The Position

Halperns Steak & Seafood is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver with a Class A CDL to join their team in Walton, KY. This role is crucial in presenting a positive image to customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of Halperns’ products. The driver will operate company equipment safely and professionally, communicate customer issues, and manage payments and paperwork. Requirements

• Class A CDL required.
• Ability to adhere to all safety/compliance regulations and procedures.
• Must maintain a professional appearance wearing the Halperns’ uniform.
• This position requires punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment.
• Must be goal oriented with a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of product.
• You are required to provide your most recent employment experience for your application to be considered complete.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of Halperns’ products.
• Follows all company and Department of Transportation (DOT) policies and procedures.
• Builds and maintains good customer relationships.
• Accurately collects customer payments.
• Safeguards company funds and follows Halperns’ banking policies.
• Monitors reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.
• Completes daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.
• Collaborates with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns.
• Performs daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment.
• Completes check in process accurately and on time.
• Manages paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc.
• Maintains the truck cab and trailer in a clean and organized manner.
• Attends department meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
