Delivery Driver - CDL Class A

Shepherd Electric CompanySES Laurel, MD
Onsite

About The Position

Since 1892, Shepherd Electric Supply has been the first call when complex, time-critical electrical challenges need to be solved, and reliability truly matters. We move materials accurately and on time, so contractors stay on schedule, projects stay on track, and customers never have to wonder if we will come through. Our success comes from people who take pride in doing things the right way — safely, accurately, and with care for teammates and customers alike. If you want to do work that matters at a company that notices, this is the place. Every delivery you make is a promise kept. When a contractor is mid-job and waiting on wire, conduit, or gear, your truck showing up on time is what keeps the project moving. That is not a small thing. That is the whole thing. At Shepherd, drivers are not just logistics — they are the last mile of a commitment we have made to every customer. You carry Shepherd’s reputation on every run. How you show up, communicate, and take care of the load is how our customers experience us. This role is a strong fit if: You take safety seriously — every pre-trip, every run, not just when someone is watching You communicate problems early, not after they become someone else’s issue You take pride in how you represent the company at every delivery You are reliable — your team knows they can count on you to show up ready and execute You treat the warehouse as part of your team, not a separate function You understand that a missed delivery or a sloppy load is not just a logistics problem — it is a broken promise to a customer
