About The Position

Join the Rugby Team. Rugby Architectural Building Products is a leading wholesale distributor of specialty building products with 26 locations across the United States. We supply architectural-grade building products to commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial customers, helping manufacturers, contractors, cabinet makers, millworkers, and fabricators complete their projects on time. We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused CDL Class B Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position combines local deliveries with warehouse responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in providing outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Clean driving record with a demonstrated commitment to safe, professional driving.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
  • Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen, background check, FMCSA Clearinghouse query, motor vehicle record review, and company road test.
  • Meet all U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical qualification requirements.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle building materials weighing up to 100 pounds, using assistance or material-handling equipment when appropriate.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Class A CDL is a plus.
  • Previous commercial truck driving or delivery experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver building materials to customers throughout the local service area.
  • Inspect and secure loads before leaving the warehouse.
  • Verify customer orders before loading and confirm deliveries with customers upon unloading.
  • Provide professional, courteous service at customer locations.
  • Receive incoming shipments from vendors.
  • Pick, stage, and load customer orders accurately.
  • Assist with cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
