The company is seeking a CDL-A Driver to join its distribution team. This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is crucial for increasing company profitability and customer satisfaction by ensuring complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries. The Delivery Driver is expected to represent Richelieu professionally, safely, and cost-effectively, adhering to DOT and other applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and DOT Medical Examiners Certificate is required
  • Good driving record
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Team Focused (team player)
  • Dedicated/Reliable

Responsibilities

  • Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs
  • Prepare truck for operation by loading the product, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers
  • Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind
  • Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received
  • Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies
  • Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety, security, and quality processes
  • Other duties as assigned
