Delivery Director - Supply Chain Consulting (IT Programs)

Wood MackenzieCalgary, AB
Hybrid

About The Position

Wood Mackenzie Supply Chain Consulting is experiencing rapid growth and seeks to enhance its leadership capacity to manage increasing client engagements. This Director role is pivotal in leading delivery efforts, ensuring the quality and execution of multiple concurrent client projects. The role involves managing project management disciplines, developing consulting staff, and making delivery the primary driver of client trust and repeat business. The Director will translate industry data and experience into actionable client insights, maintain high standards for analytical rigor and client-ready output, manage risks, and act as a liaison between delivery teams and management. While not a sales role, the Director will identify and qualify expansion opportunities. A significant portion of the work involves supporting large client IT and digital programs (e.g., ERP, GIS, customer information systems, DERMS, network modernization), focusing on sourcing, vendor selection, contract structuring, and vendor governance rather than technical implementation. The role may evolve to lead this growing portfolio, potentially including vendor management or PMO functions. Performance is measured by engagement quality, client satisfaction, on-time/on-budget delivery, project margin, and team development/retention. The candidate should possess a commercial mindset, focusing on delivering projects per contract and identifying expansion opportunities to support sales discussions and proposal development.
