USPS Delivery Contractor - Franklin, WV
About The Position
AEXP Express Corporation, a leader in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, is seeking applicants for a mail delivery driver/mail carrier on a United States Postal Service mail route in Franklin, WV. This is a full-time position, working 6 days a week, Monday through Saturdays, including some federal holidays. The estimated work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, approximately 9 hours a day or less, covering about 80 miles daily on a 40-mile delivery route. The contractor will provide their own vehicle and is paid $270 per day as a 1099 contractor, with payments issued monthly.
Requirements
- Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds
- Must be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions
- Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city of Franklin, WV
- Must have a qualifying vehicle (Minivan/Cargo Van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity & less than 5 years old) and minimum liability insurance

- Candidates with Minivans and Cargo Vans with 120 cubic feet of cargo space without a center console for passenger side mailbox delivery
Responsibilities
- Sorting mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
- Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle
- Delivering mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel
- Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
- Other administrative duties as required
