About The Position

Join a forward-thinking Aerospace & Defense leader as a Delivery Assurance Specialist and play a pivotal role in strengthening the supply chain. You will partner with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, drive continuous improvement, and support critical programs that shape national defense and aerospace innovation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, supplier development, or delivery assurance within aerospace/defense.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Experienced in supplier assessments, capacity planning, and production readiness.
  • Skilled in Lean, Six Sigma, and manufacturing process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Willing and able to travel to supplier sites as required (up to daily).

  • Knowledge of engineering outsourcing and advanced project management.
  • Advanced proficiency with SharePoint for managing supplier improvement plans.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor supplier delivery compliance and ensure data accuracy within supplier portals.
  • Review, validate, and support execution of supplier recovery plans to meet project schedules.
  • Expedite critical orders by collaborating with sub-tier suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Analyze and address planning processes and capacity constraints to optimize supply flow.
  • Provide daily part tracking and WIP status updates using LOB or similar tools.
  • Escalate delivery risks and non-responsiveness to internal stakeholders in real time.
  • Deliver weekly progress briefings to leadership and internal teams.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks within supplier manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct onsite supplier visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and support recovery initiatives.
  • Lead onsite supplier assessments with cross-functional teams to elevate supplier performance.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement strategies with suppliers.
  • Monitor and drive KPIs and cost-to-serve metrics to improve supply chain effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain Supplier Improvement Plans (SIPs) on SharePoint.
  • Develop and implement Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) and corrective actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and facilitate training on quality tools to ensure corrective actions’ effectiveness.
  • Maintain monthly reports on supplier corrective actions and quality metrics.
