About The Position

Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is looking to expand its deli team to support a new rotisserie chicken program. The deli is committed to providing the community with nutritious, high-quality foods. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity for individuals eager to learn in a well-organized kitchen and thrive on teamwork. Deli staff are responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and well-stocked department, and contributing positively to the team. They will prepare and package quality food in an open, professional kitchen and maintain retail displays of deli and bakery items.

Requirements

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to thrive while working with a large team completing varied tasks.
• Experience preparing large volumes of food following high standards.
• Knowledge of ServSafe safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Friday and Saturday availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked department.
• Prepare and package quality food in an open, professional kitchen.
• Maintain retail displays of deli and bakery items to keep shelves looking fresh and fully stocked.
• Follow all established procedures, working both independently and as a team to achieve department goals.
