About The Position

Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is looking to expand its deli team to support a new rotisserie chicken program. The deli is committed to providing the community with nutritious, high-quality foods. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity for individuals eager to learn in a well-organized kitchen and thrive on teamwork. Deli staff are responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and well-stocked department, and contributing positively to the team. They will prepare and package quality food in an open, professional kitchen and maintain retail displays of deli and bakery items to ensure they are fresh and fully stocked. Adherence to all established procedures, working both independently and as part of a team to achieve department goals, is expected.

Requirements

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to thrive while working with a large team completing varied tasks
• Experience preparing large volumes of food following high standards
• Knowledge of ServSafe safety and sanitation guidelines
• Friday and Saturday availability
