About The Position
As a member of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies, SpartanNash is a food solutions company that delivers ingredients for a better life. This role works independently to bake, fry, package, display, and stock deli products, helping ensure the shift contributes to the store’s financial best interest. The associate also completes other assigned duties in a timely manner. Baking and frying duties are determined by the production schedule and account for approximately 80% of the time. The role may also include tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs. The position is based at 1527 Bashor Rd., Goshen, Indiana 46528.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- One year of retail or related experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Detail-oriented.

Responsibilities
- Bake and fry deli products according to the production schedule.
- Price, date, wrap, and/or bag deli products.
- Fill, rotate, inspect, and merchandise deli shelves, cases, and displays.
- Notify the Deli Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise.
- Know the products carried in the department, including differences in price, taste, preparation, and use.
- Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
- Follow PPE and safety guidelines, food safety and cleaning expectations, and guest experience guidelines.
- Perform tasks in other departments when needed to support customer experience.
- Complete additional assigned responsibilities in a timely manner.
