Requirements

  • Proven experience in a deli management or similar retail food service role.
  • Strong knowledge of deli products, food preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of inventory control, ordering processes, and waste reduction.
  • Ability to walk and stand the duration of scheduled shift.
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and motivate deli staff to ensure high performance and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage the preparation, presentation, and display of deli meats, cheeses, and ready-to-eat items, ensuring they adhere to our standards for freshness and appearance.
  • Manage inventory levels, place orders, and oversee product rotation to minimize waste.
  • Ensure that all food handling and sanitation standards are met.
  • Assist in setting department goals and implementing promotional strategies.
  • Create employee schedules, manage labor costs, and effectively troubleshoot any issues to maintain a positive work environment.
