County Market Deli Clerk
About The Position
The Deli Clerk provides excellent customer service, develops knowledge of products, rotates and merchandises product, controls shrink, and works safely. The role includes food preparation, department quality checks, maintaining stock, inventory and cleanliness, promoting sales, and processing products and payments. The clerk follows company programs and procedures, health code guidelines, and safety policies. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and prior experience are not required. A Food Handler’s Certification is provided at store level when required by state law.

Responsibilities
- Deliver superior guest service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare food.

- Perform department quality assurance checks.
- Handle and rotate products properly.
- Follow daily operational procedures to maintain stock levels, inventory, and cleanliness.
- Promote sales.
- Process products through the POS system.
- Handle cash, checks, credit and debit cards, gift cards, and coupons.
- Work within company programs, policies, and procedures.
- Promote and support established programs.
- Follow health code guidelines.
- Follow safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
