About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Deli Clerk at Food Giant in Calvert City, KY. The role involves stocking, pricing, packaging, and cleaning within the deli-bakery department. It requires the ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain a clean work area. Some tasks may include cake decorating, handling truck deliveries, and ordering products.

Requirements

Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
Ability to work in temperature extremes, (frozen foods & storage cooler maximum low temperature, -10 degrees).

May be required to decorate cakes.

Responsibilities

Rotates, stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
Correctly prices all merchandise according to departmental guidelines.
Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment.
Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Cleans all required deli-bakery department tools and equipment.
Follows proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli products.
Maintains a neat and clean work area.
Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
Perform all job functions with limited supervision.
Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
Orders product according to established guidelines in the absence of deli manager.
Other duties as assigned.
