About The Position
Super Valu, Gibsons is seeking a reliable, full-time Deli Clerk to join their deli team. This community-focused grocery store is looking for someone who loves food and working with people. The role involves greeting customers, preparing deli items, maintaining cleanliness and stock, adhering to food safety standards, operating deli equipment, and working collaboratively with the team. The position requires being on your feet for most of the shift and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
- Reliable and punctual
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- Able to work mid-shifts, closing shifts, and weekends
- Legally eligible to work in Canada

- Availability for both weekend days preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Slice meats and cheeses, and prepare fresh items, party trays, and daily specials
- Keep the deli clean, stocked, and looking great
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate deli equipment (slicers, ovens, scales) safely
- Work as part of a team and help where needed
- Be on your feet for most of your shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
