About The Position

The Deli Clerk provides excellent guest service through deli department activities. The role involves preparing products for sale, maintaining product quality and freshness, keeping work areas sanitary and organized, and supporting receiving and storage. Pay starts at $18 per hour. The position is part-time.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare products for sale by frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, and pricing.
Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to a supervisor.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Perform front porch duties to maintain the “guest arrival” standard.
Announce specials and sale information over the PA system.
Assist with product receiving and storage.
