  • Knowledge of basic deli products and preparation techniques.
  • Ability to handle deli department equipment safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer-focused with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • 16 years or older to operate fryers and oven, and 18 years or older operate the slicer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in the deli department, offering product information and recommendations.
  • Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
  • Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders, events, and catering orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli counter area, including regular sanitization of equipment.
  • Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
  • Operate deli department equipment, such as slicers and scales, following safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.
