Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visits
Prepare, slice, and package deli meats and cheeses to order while following proper food safety and equipment handling procedures
Prepare, cook, and stock deli items such as rotisserie chicken, salads, hot bar items, and grab-and-go meals according to quality and production standards
Maintain product freshness, labeling, and visual merchandising standards in deli cases and displays
Engage with guests to answer questions, provide recommendations, and offer meal solutions
Develop and maintain knowledge of deli and store products, including features, pricing, and location
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to promote health, safety, and a professional appearance
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene guidelines to ensure compliance and guest safety
Operate deli equipment (slicers, scales, packaging tools) and POS systems accurately
Stock, rotate, and face products using FIFO methods to ensure freshness and minimize waste
Monitor inventory levels and report low, excess, or damaged items to leadership
Communicate clearly with teammates and collaborate across departments to support storewide efficiency and guest satisfaction
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, conduct, and dress code standards
Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following proper procedures
Assist with cleaning, restocking, and supporting other departments as needed
Remain productive during slower periods by maintaining department readiness and preparing products
