About The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing customers with excellent, efficient, courteous service, maintaining a neat, clean, fresh, and well-merchandised department, and performing all duties associated with inventory stocking and taking inventory counts. This role also involves compliance with government standards and regulations, completing in-house training and certifications, monitoring for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment, ensuring merchandise quality and condition meet store standards, following cleaning and maintenance schedules, and adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and Wild Rose Co-op policies. This position requires the use of computers and involves heavy lifting of products.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service is an asset
- Understanding of our Values (Teamwork, People, Excellence, Community)
- Committed to providing excellent customer service to our member-owners as well as internal customers
- Quality communication skills
- Ability to work: day, evenings and weekends

Responsibilities
- Providing customers with excellent, efficient, courteous service
- Provide a neat, clean, fresh and well-merchandised department
- All duties associated with inventory stocking and taking inventory counts
- Compliance with government standards and regulations that apply to the Killam Food store
- Complete up-to-date in-house training and certifications via e-learning courses
- Alert for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment
- Ensure the quality and condition of all merchandise meets the store’s standards
- Follow all cleaning and maintenance schedules
- Compliance with all Safety policies and procedures and look out for the safety of others
- Adhere to all Wild Rose Co-op policies and procedures
