About The Position

We are looking for a responsible, agile Deli Clerk / Auxiliar de Deli with a good service attitude to support the daily operations of the Deli area. The position combines customer service, slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling of cold cuts, cheeses, and other products, sandwich preparation, restocking, display organization, product rotation, and general support to maintain a clean, stocked, attractive, and ready area for our customers. The ideal candidate should demonstrate agility, organization, a good service attitude, and the ability to work in a team within a dynamic operation. Availability to work rotating shifts between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Requirements

Previous experience in deli, supermarket, sandwich preparation, food service, customer service, retail food, or similar positions is preferred.
Good service attitude and willingness to interact directly with customers.
Ability to work quickly, accurately, and with a sense of urgency within a dynamic operation.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, portion standards, presentation, and hygiene procedures.
Willingness to learn and correctly use slicers, utensils, and other area equipment after corresponding training.
Responsible, organized, punctual, reliable person with the ability to work in a team.
Ability to stand and move for long periods and perform the physical tasks inherent to the position.
Availability to work rotating shifts between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, including weekends and holidays, according to operational needs.
English and Spanish preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Attend to customers cordially, quickly, and professionally in the Deli area.
Slice, weigh, package, and label cold cuts, cheeses, and other products according to customer requests and established standards.
Prepare sandwiches and other Deli area products following established recipes, portions, presentation, and procedures.
Keep display cases, exhibits, and product areas clean, tidy, stocked, and well-presented.
Restock products during the shift and rotate merchandise to support freshness, availability, and waste control.
Verify product quality, freshness, presentation, prices, labels, and availability.
Use slicers, utensils, and other Deli area equipment safely and maintain workstations in compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
Support other operational tasks in the Deli area as needed by the business.
