About The Position

The Deli/Bakery Clerk prepares and sells deli and bakery products while maintaining product quality, freshness, and sanitation. The role includes serving guests, keeping work and supply areas clean and organized, supporting receiving and storage, communicating guest requests and temperature issues, and helping maintain front-end service standards. This is a part-time position with flexible schedules.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and direction.
Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare products for sale by frying, cutting, slicing, baking, weighing, and pricing them.
Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to a supervisor.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Perform front-end duties to ensure the “guests arrival” standard is maintained.
Announce specials and sale information on the PA system.
Assist with product receiving and storage.
