About The Position

The Deli Associate provides prompt and courteous service to customers. This role involves cutting delicatessen meats and cheeses to customer preference, weighing, wrapping, coding, and pricing deli products accurately. The associate will also replenish shelves, check for out-of-code items, rotate product, and prepare party trays according to established guidelines. Maintaining a regular cleaning and sanitation program, and possessing knowledge of all products sold in the department are key responsibilities. Good mathematical skills are needed for operating scales and computers, and for coordinating dates for inventory rotation. Other assignments may be directed by a supervisor. Applicants must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service to customers
• Cut delicatessen meats and cheeses to customer’s preference
• Weigh, wrap, code and price deli products accurately
• Replenish shelves, check for out-of-code items and rotate product
• Prepare party trays and arrange foods according to established guidelines
• Maintain a regular cleaning and sanitation program
• Maintain knowledge of all products sold in the department
• Operate scales & computers and coordinate dates for inventory rotation
• Perform other assignments as directed by supervisor
