The Deli Associate provides prompt and courteous service to customers. This role involves cutting delicatessen meats and cheeses to customer preference, accurately weighing, wrapping, coding, and pricing deli products. Responsibilities also include replenishing shelves, checking for out-of-code items, rotating product, preparing party trays, and maintaining a regular cleaning and sanitation program. The associate must maintain knowledge of all products sold in the department and possess good mathematical skills for operating scales and computers, as well as coordinating dates for inventory rotation. Other assignments may be directed by a supervisor. The position requires the associate to be 18 years of age.
