About The Position
Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties related to the deli department and assists in fulfilling customer orders at the deli counter with professional and efficient service. This position will consist primarily of evening/closing shifts.
Requirements
- Demonstrates proper phone etiquette while taking orders/messages
- Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
Responsibilities
- Operates a deli/cheese slicer
- Prepares, packages, and prices product as directed
- Assists customers with orders placed at deli counter
- Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed
- Maintains a current knowledge of product
- Provides assistance to meat and seafood departments as needed
- Provides excellent customer service
- Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy
- Maintains a clean and organized work area free of hazards
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Samples product at the direction of the department manager
