About The Position

Quantum Sky is hiring a Defensive Cyber Analyst to support the United States Space Force (USSF) D6 Contract. The role provides continuous cybersecurity monitoring, intrusion detection, and cyber incident response. It is 100% onsite at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado. The posting's schedule section specifies night shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. Mountain Time, on either Sunday through Tuesday or Thursday through Saturday, plus every other Wednesday.

Requirements

Hold at least one active DoD 8570.07-M Cyber Security Services Provider (CSSP) Analyst or Incident Responder certification. Listed certifications include CEH, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER, PenTest+, CHFI, or GCFA.
Have 1–3 years of cybersecurity or IT experience.
Have experience performing continuous cybersecurity monitoring, intrusion detection, and cyber incident response.
Hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
Have experience with one or more of the following tools or technologies: Elastic Stack, Kibana, Suricata, Splunk, Snort, Wireshark, Bro/Zeek logs, tcpdump, editcap, ACAS, Microsoft Office 365, Python, or Bash scripting.

Nice To Haves

Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) experience is preferred.
Familiarity with Space Operations is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Analyze cyber incidents, correlate incident details, and formulate response actions.
Recommend ways to tune and maximize existing tools and identify other tools that could increase capability.
Monitor government-provided DCO tools and systems.
Conduct after-action processes to capture efforts taken to mitigate unauthorized actions.
Participate in developing DCO tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Participate in developing DCO concepts of operations, processes, and procedures.
Identify security discrepancies and report security incidents.
Provide expert research and analysis to support expanding programs and areas of responsibility.
