About The Position

The Defense Red Switch Network/DRSN CMSFS Lead supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will implement and maintain various technical systems and serve as an interface to the supported community users. This role provides guidance, direction, and training to others in the group, and serves as a backup to the lead computer systems administrator. The position involves building and/or debugging complicated hardware and software to correct difficult problems using technically advanced problem-solving skills, and developing and implementing system documentation and operation procedures. The lead will identify and correct processing anomalies, coordinate and administer the test and installation of network connections, and configure and debug network equipment. Research into the selection and installation of new computer equipment, including hardware and software, is also a key responsibility. The role performs and provides server, workstation, and system expertise, including on-site and off-site travel. Oversight of the order and replacement of new hardware and software, including warranty claims, is required. The position implements functions with data and documentation management of systems and provides oversight for 24x7 operations. Availability to work any shift/designated hours required, including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule if required, is essential. This position will be filled and work onsite at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Colorado.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
  • 2.5 years or more of directly related experience is required
  • 5 years or more of general work experience is required
  • 4 years or more experience in management/supervision managing 6 or more personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating technical requirements with internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Must be able to work in a high visibility environment, focused on 24X7 mission availability, and quickly respond to customer direction/requests.
  • Must be able to work in a DoD mission-oriented environment.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent technical/field training
  • Cryptographic equipment training
  • IAT Level II Certification
  • One of the following: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
