About The Position

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We’re looking for someone like you to help create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe. You will conduct in-depth accounting and analysis of cyber and cryptographic items. You will use this data to determine potential future requirements and deployment schedules. Track and guide cryptographic requirements through requirements and certification processes. Work with the client to track and ensure software and hardware upgrades and equipment turn-ins as required. Produce, support, and update various local and online products for tracking and compliance reporting. You'll provide field support for Algorithm and Cryptographic Transition and Cryptographic Modernization issues as needed. As a defense mission professional, you'll bring your knowledge and skills to bear on the most pressing technical capability requirements for the client across air, ground, space and weapons systems platforms, collaborating with communications experts to deliver secure and resilient communications for the warfighter. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as military staff, including coordinating taskers, conducting document reviews, and preparing program updates and briefings, bullet backgrounds, and point papers
  • Experience with Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and keying material processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with equipment custodian roles and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of strategic DoD and Air Force security policies related to cryptographic and keying material, classification guides, cryptographic algorithms, equipment and keying material
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Associate's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with controlling authority roles and responsibilities
  • Experience with data analytic tools
  • Knowledge of the operations and sustainment of tactical data link systems
  • Ability to develop working hypothesis and theory to address current and future system requirements
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
