About The Position

Organizations need help looking at their operation from the outside, whether standing up a new organization, transforming an existing one, or transitioning an organization, such as in a merger or split-up. Clients need someone who understands the complexities of their mission and provides them with tangible advice on improvement, mission success, and standard methodologies. This role requires a specialist who knows how to analyze every aspect of a customer’s operations and use their expertise to lead efforts at giving them the roadmap to becoming the organization they envision. This position will provide professional insight and joint military medical expertise through assistance to the military health community by analyzing critical military medical capabilities and operational plans required to support the joint operational force and the delivery of care. This position will allow you to work with a client’s organization to leverage knowledge of the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and Combat Support Agency organizational structure and missions to conduct analysis of large-scale operational planning and transformation efforts, support drafting policy and doctrine, develop elements of operational exercises, and monitor compliance and effectiveness of military medical support, including care of active duty and other beneficiaries. As a member of the project team, you’ll work directly with experts in Service, Joint, or Defense headquarters with a full comprehension of the DoD Military Health System. You’ll build a trusted relationship with your client as your team identifies and anticipates their needs and proposes solutions. As you solve problems, you’ll look for more areas of improvement and continue transforming your client’s organization.

Requirements

7+ years of experience with planning, operations, and exercise development in the Military Health System in a Military Department and Joint capacity
Experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of the workings of the DoW and healthcare industries
Knowledge of Service and Joint medical doctrine and medical operations through the continuum of care
Ability to perform analysis of medical doctrine, exercise development, policy, plans, and operations
Ability to communicate with senior military officers and government officials
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree

Experience serving in a Joint Task Force, Combatant Command, or Joint Staff position
Possession of excellent analytical and verbal and written communication skills
Master's degree
