The Defect Technician I is responsible for running the defecting operation safely and efficiently, maximizing production while minimizing off-quality products. This role involves setting up equipment, making machine and process adjustments, following order-specific instructions, and achieving quality standards. The technician will monitor parameters, perform visual inspections for defects and grading, complete computerized quality reports, and conduct quality checks on finished products. They will also manage logs and records for saw blades and other tools, maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas, analyze charts and graphs, take measurements, and work with SPC charts. Additionally, the role requires operating box feeding robot machines and willingness to be an On the Job Trainer (OJT).
