DEF Driver - Cleveland, OH
About The Position
This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. The role involves loading and unloading DEF trucks, safely operating trucks according to company policies and state/federal laws, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. The driver will also perform safety inspections, maintain miscellaneous service duties, and report any equipment malfunctions to the Fleet Manager. Additionally, the driver will complete and transmit all paperwork in compliance with established company procedures and utilize loading arms, card readers, auxiliary pumps, spill kits, and fire extinguishers.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and an acceptable driving record that meets company and DOT/FMCSA requirements.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements REQUIRED.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) REQUIRED or ability to obtain one within 30 days after hire.
- Ability to successfully complete DOT required pre-employment drug testing.
- Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Must meet and maintain DOT and FMCSA qualification standards, including a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

- Prior fuel, petroleum, or hazardous material transportation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads DEF trucks adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
- Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
- Maintains vehicle cleanliness and replaces gaskets, nozzles, and other related articles as necessary.
- Performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment, and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
- Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires, and tank-related items daily.
- Reports any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to Fleet Manager.
- Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
- Knowledge of and the ability to use loading arms and card readers at rack facilities, use auxiliary pumps for loading and unloading vehicles, and use spill kits and fire extinguishers.
