About The Position

The Deepwater Mechanic operates an offshore production facility according to customer specifications and performs equipment testing, calibration, maintenance, and inspections. The role also involves completing mandatory paperwork for customers and governmental agencies, and troubleshooting and maintaining turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, and reciprocating equipment such as pumps and compressors. The mechanic creates policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats. The posting states that the candidate will not be required to complete technical writing tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer knowledge.
• Familiarity with subsea equipment.
• Organizational skills to maintain the platform.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.
• Technical mechanical skills.
• Ability to create policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate the offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
• Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
• Complete mandatory paperwork required by customers and government agencies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, and reciprocating equipment such as pumps.
• Create policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats.
