About The Position
Island Operating is seeking experienced Deepwater Control Room Operator to support offshore production operations in the Gulf of America. We are looking for safety-driven professionals with a strong operational background who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Deepwater Control Room Operator and a proven ability to safely monitor and control offshore production systems while maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Deepwater Control Room Operator experience (required).
- Strong understanding of offshore production equipment and process operations.
- Experience with DCS/SCADA operating systems.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and process safety management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control offshore production processes using DCS/SCADA systems.
- Respond to process alarms and abnormal operating conditions.
- Coordinate with field operators to safely start up, shut down, and optimize production systems.
- Maintain accurate operating logs and documentation.
- Follow company, client, and regulatory procedures while maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with offshore personnel and onshore support teams during normal and emergency operations.
