About The Position

The Deep Reach Operator is responsible for safely operating a High Reach Forklift to place and remove pallets of product in a freezer environment. This role involves inspecting the forklift, adhering to safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean work area. The operator will also be responsible for notifying supervisors of any equipment issues and ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and colleagues. Additional warehouse tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

Minimum 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to read and write legibly.
Basic math functions and skills.
Prior forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

Properly inspects forklift being operated to ensure it is in optimum operating condition.
Safely operates a High Reach Forklift under OSHA and Case Farms guidelines.
Extends forks as high as 402”-33.5` in the air to place pallets of product.
Removes pallets from production floor and carefully places in the correct bay in freezer for future shipment.
Notifies supervisor, lead, maintenance of any issues with the forklift or malfunction.
Checks and ensures the forklift is in optimum condition at the end of shift.
Follows safety policies and procedures based on required training and ensures fellow coworkers maintain a safe working environment to prevent accidents.
May be required to lift totes and heavy products.
May be required to scan pallets and products.
Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts/conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management-related matters.
Maintains a clean, uncluttered, and safe work area.
Additional warehouse or forklift related tasks not listed may be assigned.
