About The Position

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Deep Clean Technician will perform a variety of cleaning duties such as: pressure washing, hard floor restoration, specialized cleaning and heavy-duty cleaning of the kitchen and restaurants. The Deep Clean Technician will also be required to use electrically powered equipment. Responsibilities may also include performing the full range of assigned custodial duties.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Slip resistant shoes.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Ability to speak and comprehend English.
• Ability to communicate effectively over the radio with co-workers.
• Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission.
• Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment related to this work.
• Regularly required to stand.
• Frequently required to walk, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, talk and/or hear.
• Must regularly lift and/or move or lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and/or move or push up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Six-month related experience or training are preferred.
• Training in biohazard clean up and disposal; general understanding of MSDS and OSHA requirements; operation and maintenance of floor care equipment and basic to advanced level in custodial technician training preferred.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning, sanitization and maintenance (i.e. pressure washing, sweeping, moping, scrubbing, striping, waxing and polishing).
• Obtain and exercise specialized knowledge of the methods and techniques for cleaning a variety of floor surfaces such as wood, marble, linoleum, terrazzo, vinyl and asphalt tile.
• Use extracted equipment, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines and vacuum cleaners.
• Maintain equipment, materials and supplies in proper condition.
• Comply with all material safety data sheets and other safety regulations.
• Attend all safety training classes.
• Perform the other facilities and custodial duties as requested.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
