About The Position

The Deep Clean Technician performs cleaning tasks that go beyond normal daily operations. The shift schedule may vary to accommodate periods with fewer guests and associates, allowing for deep cleaning in high-traffic areas. This role reports to the EVS Shift Manager.

Requirements

Work nights and weekends.
Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo, including chemical uses, interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and basic maintenance.
General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry.
Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, shampooers, sweepers, buffers, steam cleaners, escalator cleaners, and lifts.
Follow approved cleaning practices using proper chemicals within SDS guidelines.
Remove dust and cobwebs from vents, ceiling tiles, signs, ledges, fixtures, windows, wall hangings, and light fixtures, often working overhead and operating a scissor lift to access areas at heights of 40+ feet.
Clean and remove stains from fabric or carpet; shampoo, sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and buffing machines.
Deep clean windows, doors, walls, ceilings, closets, and fixtures in various areas including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, public areas, back of house, stairways, and hallways, often using ladders or stools to reach difficult areas, to maintain a clean and attractive facility.
Clean and polish metalwork and stainless steel, including fixtures, fittings, and elevators.
Answer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department.
Take initiative to immediately clean or correct problem areas.
Report emergencies and maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
