Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License issued by the appropriate state authority
  • Minimum of twelve months verifiable experience operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle
  • Clean driving record demonstrating a consistent commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
  • No serious traffic violations, DUI convictions, or preventable accident history within the past three years
  • Must be able to pass a full DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to work a consistent weekly schedule and return home reliably on designated days
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude toward colleagues and customers

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle on dedicated regional routes originating from Tar Heel, North Carolina
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in full compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations
  • Deliver freight accurately and on schedule to designated customer locations throughout the assigned service area
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with dispatch, customers, and facility personnel regarding load status, delays, or any arising concerns
  • Maintain accurate and compliant electronic logging device records throughout every shift
  • Adhere strictly to all Hours of Service regulations and applicable federal and state transportation laws
  • Handle paperwork, delivery documentation, and bills of lading with precision and attention to detail
  • Represent the organization professionally at all customer locations and during all interactions with the public
