Dedicated Team Driver - Home Weekly
About The Position
XPO is seeking dedicated team drivers to join their fleet. This role involves running loads between XPO facilities, navigating various routes, maintaining CMV safety, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. Team drivers will operate tractor-trailer combinations over long distances, typically on a 5-day work week away from home, and must be able to work independently and collaboratively with a partner. The position requires adherence to DOT regulations and safe operation of all internal freight transportation work tools and systems. Applicants must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for communication, understanding signs, responding to inquiries, and completing reports.
Requirements
- Be a member of an existing team. Both team members must apply.
- Able to partner with another driver in a sleeper tractor on extended runs
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid Class A commercial driver’s license
- Have a working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
- Safe driving record and history
- Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOT physical
- Available to work away from home in a five-day work week
- Possess hazardous materials, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements
- Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Responsibilities
- Run loads between XPO facilities for pickup and drop off and work with fellow XPO employees
- Navigate various routes, maintain CMV safety, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Operate various tractor-trailer combinations over long distances in a typical 5-day work week away from home
- Operate the vehicle safely within DOT regulations
- Operate all internal freight transportation work tools and required systems
- Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.)
- Safely climb in/out of tractor cab/trailer
- Sit for extended periods in a truck tractor
- Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
- Operate a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutive hours; in all types of weather, while safely transporting all freight types
- Properly operate a handheld device

- Mileage pay at $0.974 per mile, split between each driver ($0.487 per mile)
- Hourly pay of $35.42 for en route waiting times of more than an hour
