About The Position

Acclaim Technical Services (ATS), founded in 2000, is a leading cyber operations, intelligence solutions and operations, network infrastructure, engineering and business enablement and enterprise operations company supporting a wide range of U.S. Federal agencies. ATS is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. ATS is actively recruiting for a Dedicated Phone Installation Technician with a current TS/SCI w/ Poly to support our Network Solutions Division, based in Northern Virginia.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with implementation of the customers LAN infrastructure (including scripting, configuration, cutover and troubleshooting).
• Minimum 2 years of experience installing and troubleshooting telephone instruments and media gateways on the Costumer networks.
• Experience in a variety of cabling areas including 110 type cross connections, RJ45 patch panels, wire wrap terminals, copper cable terminations, DSX Panel T-1 cabling, fiber terminations.
• Excellent knowledge of various cabling methodologies, industry standards, troubleshooting techniques, and reading/understanding cable run lists.
• High School Diploma with 6 years of experience, or an Associate’s Degree with 4 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience.
• Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Nice To Haves

• Experience with implementation on the Customers network LAN infrastructure.
• Special non-commercial systems administrator experience (access management/file transfer)
• VoIP Telephone Installation experience.
• Related work experience in IT hardware and cabling installation.

Responsibilities

• Performing high quality installations and troubleshooting a variety of telephones, running and terminating cables to voice switch equipment.
• Dressing cabling appropriately according to industry and Customers standards.
• Mounting voice and network equipment in racks, running and connecting both power and service cabling as appropriate.
• Performing surveys as necessary to collect or validate information for the engineering or VSIT personnel.
• Local travel will be required between customer buildings.
• Work required shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM as part of a coverage team operating between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Shift may need to flex given requirements.
