About The Position
This position is for a Dedicated Container Lane Driver based out of the Jax / Fernandina Beach, FL area. The driver will be home daily, working Monday to Friday with optional Saturday work. Most loads will be short miles, involving routes such as Fernandina Beach (Drop and Hook) to Jacksonville (Port), Jacksonville (Live) to Jacksonville (Port), Fernandina Beach (Drop and Hook) to Savannah (Port), and Jacksonville (Live) to Savannah (Port). Drivers must be flexible to run anywhere from Jacksonville, FL to Savannah GA. During slower periods for this lane, drivers will tie in runs from Jesup, GA to Savannah, GA. Permits will be provided.
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- TWIC Card in possession
- 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
- Satisfactory Driving Record, No Major Violations
- No SAP within the past 10 years
- Live in the Jacksonville, FL area
- Must have Apportioned plates (either own or through our Plate Program)
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A CDL vehicle for dedicated container lane routes.
- Transport goods between Fernandina Beach, Jacksonville (Port), and Savannah (Port).
- Perform drop and hook operations.
- Conduct live pick-ups and deliveries.
- Be flexible to run routes within Jacksonville, FL to Savannah, GA.
- Accept runs from Jesup, GA to Savannah, GA when the primary lane is slow.
- Ensure adherence to all driving regulations and company policies.
