About The Position

The Decorator is responsible for ensuring that all 'Guest Facing' elements meet the Walt Disney World standard. This role involves performing maintenance on décor, responding to trouble tickets, and assisting in holiday preparations for parks and resorts. The position requires experience in scenic, carpentry, paint, upholstery, floral arrangements, or molding. Field service may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property. This is a Seasonal Role, expected to last approximately 4 months.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Set decorator/Props/Scenic Interior Design, Carpenter – finish or rough, Mold making / Carver, Paint – Faux finishes, Seamstress/Upholstery, Florist, Rope splicing or weaving, Flooring.
• Proficient with Hand and Powered tools.
• Proficient with general hardware & adhesives.
• Able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Team player.
• Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices.
• Experience working with a field in one of the following: scenic, carpentry, paint, upholstery, floral arrangements or molding.
• Ability to work from elevated platforms and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled routine maintenance on interior/exterior: Furniture, static props, sunshade, crowd control, decorative rope, netting, penates, Drapery/Upholstery, artificial foliage, artwork.
