About The Position

The Decontamination Technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating decontamination equipment, facilities, and supplies. This role involves performing general housekeeping duties in high radiation and controlled areas, decontaminating facility surfaces such as boxes, equipment, and floors, and transferring radioactive used material and radioactive waste into proper containers. The technician will also monitor and maintain personal protective equipment supplies, operate ventilation and vacuum cleaning equipment, operate a fork truck, and support other areas as directed by the Operations Manager.

Requirements

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be an American citizen or authorized to work in United States.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to work well with others and maintain a professional environment.

Nice To Haves

Able to lift 50lbs overhead.
Able to push, pull, lift, climb, and extend as required for the job.
Able to stand, bend & kneel for extended periods of time.
Can expect to wear protective clothing for 4-6 hours per day.
Must be able to wear a respirator

Responsibilities
