Requirements

  • Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
  • Hardworking.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50lbs force frequently.
  • Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, gauges and test equipment.
  • Must be self-directed and able to satisfactorily complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision.
  • Some basic tools must be furnished by the associate.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid US driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient disassembly, salvage, and handling of decommissioned power distribution equipment, including proper disposal of materials and operation of tools and machinery.
  • Disassemble decommissioned power distribution units.
  • Salvage metals and usable parts from decommissioned power distribution units.
  • Proper handling and disposal of oils, solvents and other liquid compounds.
  • Move units down conveyor track from in-processing to decommission building.
  • Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Operate forklift, overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Responsible for all shop equipment and tools in his/her work area.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and call-in hours as required.
  • Work requires close interaction with other associates. Must be able to function in a team-oriented environment.
