About The Position
Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., is seeking a motivated Deckhand/Bridge Watch to join their vessel fleet. Requirements
- Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency (Transport Canada) to SCTW 95
- Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR
- WHMIS Certificate
- Valid Passport with the ability to enter the US
- Valid Transport Canada Marine Medical
- Able to handle multiple tasks
- Experience in a Canadian marine environment in bridge look-out duties and steering duties
- Experience using deck machinery or equipment
- A clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Perform watchkeeping duties as required
- Perform fire and security rounds
- Perform general maintenance and hygiene duties as directed, including painting, cleaning, and planned maintenance work
- Other duties as assigned.
