About The Position

The Decision Support Analyst II supports strategic, financial, operational, and clinical decision-making across a regional health system through data analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance improvement initiatives. This role partners with leadership, finance, HR, clinical, and operational teams to develop actionable insights, improve operational efficiency, support regulatory compliance, and enhance patient care outcomes. The analyst will manage and analyze complex healthcare data, maintain reporting and decision support systems, and deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics/Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Required
  • 3 years Healthcare analytics, financial analysis, decision support, business intelligence, reporting, or data management. Required
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Strata, Workday, EPIC, Fabric, Microsoft Office Suite (Bonus Python, DAX, Power QueryM).
  • Experience with report creation and maintenance; healthcare operations, finance, clinical, and regulatory.
  • Experience building dashboards, data visualizations, and developing key performance metrics.
  • Skilled in communicating/presenting complex analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of best practices in; relational databases, data governance, and data integrity.
  • Workspace is a quiet and distraction-free allowing the ability to comply with all security and privacy standards.
  • Stable access to electricity and a minimum of 25mb upload and internet speed.
  • Dedicate full attention to the job duties and communication with others during working hours.
  • Adhere to break and attendance schedules agreed upon with supervisor.
  • Abide by Stormont Vail’s Remote Worker Policy and will review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually.

  • Master's Degree Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics/Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Preferred
  • 3 years Experience working within hospital systems, clinic networks, or healthcare operations. Preferred
  • 3 years Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analytics, data governance, data engineering. Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide actionable insights that improve operational performance, financial outcomes, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and analytical models for leadership and department stakeholders.
  • Query and integrate data from electronic medical records, ERP systems, claims systems, HR systems, and other organizational data sources.
  • Analyze historical and forecast opportunities for operational improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Design, validate, and monitor key performance indicators and metrics with senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, governance, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
  • Present analysis and recommendations for strategic planning to senior stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in analytics and decision support.
  • Develop and deploy advanced analytic methods that improve patient outcomes and operational decision-making.
  • Support/maintain proforma development, strategic planning, capital investment analysis.
  • Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
  • Performs other duties as assigned
